Another reboot of the famous killer doll Chucky is on the way. Just in time for spooky season, coming to USA network Syfy on October 12th, is the new horror TV series Chucky. The trailer launched today (June 26) featuring the creepy doll, a quirky loner, and lot of bloodshed.
The show follows central character Jake Webber (Zackary Arthur), a 14-year old queer high school student who gets picked on. Chaos begins to occur after Jake visits a garage sale and takes the “retro” red-headed doll home.
The show is created by Dan Mancini, one of the original writers of the Child’s Play trilogy. Brad Dourif is also back to reprise the vocal role of the scary doll alongside Jennifer Tilley and Alex Vincent who were both in the original films.

At the San Diego Comic Con, Vincent stated that fans have “been waiting for the really dark feel and some really gruesome, gory deaths, and this show is chock full of those … And for newer fans, it’s a little more developed in why he is the way he is. It’s really shown in a creative way. Still as dark as ever, but we get to kind of see Chucky in a different light and what he gets out of interacting with people.”
The new series also stars Christine Elise, Davon Sawa, Teo Briones and Björgvin Arnarson.
