The Knocks recruit Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo on new track ‘Sound the Alarm’

American electronic duo, The Knocks are back with another collaboration, this time with Weezer’s River Cuomo and Royal & the Serpent. Their new track “Sound the Alarm” radiates heat; it’s a jittery pop-tune with a contagious melody that is perfect for the summertime heat.

The Knocks shared their excitement over their newest collab:

“We are so honored and thrilled to be collaborating with such talented artists. Both Rivers and Royal brought a unique energy and sound that complimented each other so well. With ‘Sound The Alarm,’ we wanted to capture the feeling of letting go and the freedom that it provides. The production is rooted in electronic music, but it was a fun challenge to find the balance between both of their musical styles and ours and create something new that is uniquely all of us.”

The new track follows The Knocks’ numerous earlier releases and collaborations. Their track “R U High” features Australian breakthrough artist Mallrat, “Bedroom Eyes” featuring Studio Killers and “All About You” that features the indie-icons Foster The People.

Meanwhile, Rivers Cuomo and the rest of Weezer are celebrating the release of their new album Van Weezer that came out this May. They are currently on their 2021 Summer Tour spanning the United States. The tour began this week and will run until early September.
