It would be quite the understatement to say that Former Smiths frontman Morrissey is a friend of animals. As an avid vegan and animal activist, Morrissey has gone out of his way to stick up for animal rights. At Coachella, he once left 10 minutes into his set because he could smell meat cooking. When it comes to cats however, the British singer’s love runs deep.

One simple Google Search will provide you a plethora of pictures of Morrissey in all sorts of hilarious set-ups with cats. In a recent interview with the Daily Telegraph Morrissey explains his fondness:
The basic fascination I have with cats is nothing unusual. I find them very intelligent and very superior. And I feel entranced by them. If I see one in the street I feel immediately drawn to the cat. I have a friend, Chrissie Hynde [the singer with The Pretenders], she’s exactly the same. You can be walking with her along the street, she sees a cat, she walks away. You continue to walk on, talking to no one. You look around and she’s crouched down with a cat in a hedge. I’m exactly the same way. I’m fascinated by them.
