Coffee & Flowers, a new podcast that focuses on The National, is set to launch next February and will feature guests like Matt Berninger, Aaron Dessner, producer Peter Katis, author and Bored to Death creator Jonathan Ames, and Berninger’s wife and Mistaken for Strangers editor Carin Besser.
The first season looks at the band’s breakout record, Boxer, one song at a time. Journalists Christopher Hooton and David Rapson will be co-hosting the podcast as they analyze the iconic indie band’s music. “We believe Matt’s lyrics amount to some of the finest poetry written in this century,” Hooton explained according to Pitchfork. “With Coffee & Flowers, we hope to explain why this band means so much to so many people.
