The National have announced a new photography book called Light Years, which is set to ship in late April or early May.
The new book chronicles the indie giants’ 20 year partnership with photographer Graham MacIndoe, who took their first publicity shot in 2001. Light Years is set to feature images, essays, and quotes from the band, spanning a whopping two decades.

Light Years, which will be limited to just 3200 copies, is set to be released with an accompanying vinyl LP that has material from the band’s 2018 performance at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, curated by MacIndoe and The National’s Scott Devendorf.
“Graham’s black-and-white photographs provide a unique and intimate view of the band and their interactions with each other, their crew, family, friends and fans,” a description reads. “The book is accompanied by a vinyl album of songs selected by Graham and Scott Devendorf from The National’s September 2018 performances at Forest Hills Stadium in New York.
