Bad news for The Office fans, as Netflix has announced that the hit comedy show will no longer be streaming on the service as of 2021. After that, the show will exclusively be placed on NBCUniversal’s new streaming service.
We're sad that NBC has decided to take The Office back for its own streaming platform — but members can binge watch the show to their hearts' content ad-free on Netflix until January 2021

The Office is a mockumentary comedy, and it is an American adaption of the original BBC series of the same name. It takes place in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and centers around office employees of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. Over the years, it has held up as it’s own pop culture staple and with its comedic timing and hilarious dialogue that has been the inspiration behind numerous internet memes.
Bonnie Hammer, chairman of NBCUniversal direct-to-consumer and digital enterprises, said this in a statement. “We can’t wait to welcome the gang from Dunder Mifflin to NBCUniversal’s new streaming service”.

This will be a major blow to Netflix as The Office always ranks as one of the most watched shows on Netflix. Netflix has managed to find a replacement and green lit a program by The Office creator Daniels and Steve Carell titled Space Force. The comedy series will have a workplace setting that centers on individuals tasked with turning Donald Trump’s proposal of a Space Force into a reality.
