On Thursday night, the Parks and Recreation cast and creator reunited during Los Angeles’ PaleyFest where they celebrated the show’s 10th anniversary, when talks of a possible revival came up.
Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Chris Pratt, Jim O’Heir, Rob Lowe, and creator Michael Schur were all in attendance. According to The Hollywood Reporter, when they were asked about the idea of an eighth Parks and Rec season, Schur responded, “Everyone on this stage – and like six other people – would have to feel like there was a story that needed to be told.”
Everyone appeared to be onboard, but Schur also asserted that it’d be difficult to find somewhere to pick up after they wrapped the show so perfectly. The cast, on the otherhand, are more than ready to take part, without hesitation. “I am so not cool, so from minute one I’ve been like I’m down,” Poehler explained to The Hollywood Reporter. “Tell me where to go, I’ll clear my schedule. I mean, Mike Schur currently produces and writes on, I think, 14 shows, so it’ll really be whenever he is ‘tech avail,’ as we like to say in the biz. But yeah, I’m ready.”
