Legendary Toronto venue the Horseshoe Tavern is launching a new series called “Horseshoe Hootenanny,” where they’ll broadcast a video performance from inside the venue.
The Sadies will be kicking off the series next month, marking the Horseshoe’s first-ever live video broadcast in the 73 years its operated. “In the past 25 years, we’ve hosted a ton of live-to-air radio broadcasts via CBC and community radio,” owner Craig Laskey explains. “However, we’ve never video livestreamed a concert!”
The new series is set to feature bands as they play “fully electric, professionally shot and mixed, nothing pre-taped – direct and live to air from its legendary stage.”
Tune into the debut “Hootenanny” performance with The Sadies on September 12th at 8:30 p.m. Advance tickets for the show are available here for $12.
