The Smile, made up of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood and Sons Of Kemet’s Tom Skinner, have covered Joe Jackson’s “It’s Different For Girls.”
Over the weekend, The Smile played three concerts at Magazine London within 15 years. They performed both for a live audience and via livestream. During the set, The Smile performed recent singles “You Will Never Work In Television Again,” “The Smoke,” and “Free In The Knowledge.” They also played some Radiohead and Yorke tracks like “Skrting On The Surfact” and “Open The Floodgates.”
A standout performance saw The Smile performing a cover of Joe Jackson’s “It’s Different For Girls.” The track comes from Jackson’s 1979 album, I’m The Man. Although it’s a bit of a surprising choice for the band, they add their own twist to the tune, making for a captivating performance.
