Toronto has just been ranked as the best city in Canada for public transit in 2019.
The city’s transit users might be surprised to hear this, but tech-powered real estate brokerage Redfin has just clocked Toronto in at number one. Redfin based their ranking on the company’s Walk Score and evaluated locations based on how conveniently close they are to public transport.
Was TTC the only available option in this poll to make it the “best ranked” 🤦♂️🤷♂️ https://t.co/YrXbJqD2hG

“Toronto is highly populated and growing all the time,” Redkin broker of record and market manager Blair Anderson explained in a statement. “The influx of people from all over the world to Toronto puts a strain on all aspects of transportation in regards to road infrastructure and traffic in and out of the city, which is nothing less than gridlock.”
According to the company, they looked at big cities with populations of more than 300,000 people, and Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal took the top three slots where they had Transit Score rankings of 78, 74, and 67 respectively.
