Anyone in the arts knows the sort – the potential clients who will offer you “great exposure” in return for free services or products.
“Exposure” wont pay the rent, and this Pulitzer prize-winning photojournalist said it best. David Carson is a photojournalist with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch who was approached on Twitter by a CBS affiliated account. The CBS account requested to use all photos from a St. Louis shooting for credit, and his response got a lot of attention.

.@mhsCBS no, you can’t have my photos for free, I’m a professional your offer is insulting

.@mhsCBS honestly you’re kinda tone deaf, CBS is a multi-billion $ company & you ask to use pix for credit? No. Are you working for credit? — David Carson (@PDPJ) October 3, 2015
