This week’s roundup of ridiculous male hair products: clip-on man buns & beard baubles

First there was the rise of the man bun which eventually made way to the man braid. But now: clip-on man buns. This is not a drill. This is now a real product being used by real men… we think. So, whether you’re an aging hipster that wants to rock a bun or a skeptical male wishing to try out the look before committing, the man bun can now be yours for the low, low price of $9.99 on Groupon (regularly $65!!).

If you’re thinking this is just a Bump-It for men, that’s where you’re not totally wrong. These artificial man buns are essentially just that, except slightly more sarcastic.

How To Wear It:
1. Comb your hair back toward the crown of your head, in a similar motion to lacquering a reclaimed-wood coffee table
2. Attach the man bun to your natural hair the way the lay public attached itself to Arcade Fire
3. Use bobby pins to secure the man bun, decide bobby pins are too mainstream, use antique paper clips instead

In other related news, another male (facial) hair product has hit the market and is sure be gracing Christmas cards in your mail box. Enter: Beard Baubles.

Designed by The Grey London creative agency in collab with designers Mike Kennedy and Pauline Ashford, these festive decorations allow you to literally be a Christmas tree. This is not a joke. The first run of the products have already sold out, with all proceeds go to Beard Season, an Australian charity whose goal is to raise awareness of melanoma. Bonus: also works on dogs!
