Indie88 proudly welcomes Tkaronto Music Festival: Presents An Indigenous History Month Celebration, an two hour free live streamed event June 24th 2020 at 5pm.

The concert will be headlined with a powerful and one of a kind performance by Juno nominated alternative-electronic artists Iskwé, soul and rock band from Vancouver Old Soul Rebel, singer/songwriter musician from the Six Nations of the Grand River James N Wilson, and a special poetry performance from Mahlikah Awe:ri. The event is hosted by award winning actor Glen Gould. This event will kick off with an opening by renown poet, journalist, and activist Elder Duke Redbird. The event will be broadcast live here, on Facebook @TkarontoMusicFestival, and on Youtube Live

“Our hope is that Tkaronto Music Festival: Presents will allow the next generation of Indigenous performing artists to be heard far and wide” says festival spokesperson Ian Maracle “and that the momentum built with our event will carry emerging artists to new career heights while providing established talent with a wider audience than they’ve had before. We are excited to celebrate Indigenous history month for the first time online!”
