The Blue Jays’ (and Toronto’s) journey to winning the World Series might be over, but there’s no reason to stop cheering on Canada’s only and incredible baseball franchise.
Mayor John Tory announced yesterday via Twitter that today (and October 27th henceforth) will be Blue Jays Appreciation Day. Tory is encouraging fans to dress up in blue and white today to show appreciation for the team that brought so much excitement and vigor to the city over this past season.

As Tory put it, “A potent offence that could not be tamed, outstanding shut down pitching, an unforgettable MLB trade deadline week and an amazing post-deadline day run of 42 wins and 18 losses, made this baseball season one of the most exciting seasons in Blue Jays history.”
“The City of Toronto would like to thank the players, coaches and staff for a wonderful year. We are extremely proud of the Toronto Blue Jays and look forward to an even better 2016 season.”
Get out there and show your love for your team today! Go Jays! #ComeTogether.
