Tool drummer Danny Carey was arrested on December 12th for an alleged assault at Kansas City Airport, according to TMZ.
Carey was arrested on misdemeanor assault after allegedly getting into an argument with airport security. TMZ says that Danny Carey shoved the person in the chest with two fingers before calling them a “fucking f—–.”
The drummer is no longer in police custody, as he has since been released on bond. But he does face a fine up to $13,900.

Danny Carey was in his home state, Kansas, over the weekend to play drums in the stands with the University of Kansas band. The performance was set to take place during the school’s home basketball game against the university of Missouri.
Later, at the airport, Carey is suspected to have gotten into a physical altercation with a male security employee. Police were reportedly called regarding a disturbance involving Danny Carey and the man. He was then taken to a nearby police station, where he was photographed for a mugshot.
Both TMZ and Consequence contacted Carey’s representatives, who issued “no comment.” Officers told TMZ that a police report is being forwarded to prosecutors for review. Potential charges may follow.

The arrest comes just one month before Tool are supposed to head out on their 2022 US tour.
