Tool reveal new album title, announce back catalogue to arrive on streaming services

Fear Inoculum arrives in August

It’s been 13 years since prog-rockers Tool have released a record, but that’s about to change with the arrival of the band’s follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days coming in August. Frontman Maynard James Keenan was a guest on comedian Joe Rogan’s podcast, The Joe Rogen Experience, this week and he shared the forthcoming album’s title.

Tool’s fifth full-length release will be called Fear Inoculum.

In addition to a new record coming next month, Keenan confirmed that the band’s back catalogue of music will finally hit streaming services as of Friday, August 2.

“We’re a very difficult band. We’re very stubborn and kind of ignorant to what goes on in the rest of the world … and the whole Betamax thing didn’t work for us, and neither did LaserDisc, so we have this new thing called digital media and streaming. We’re gonna try it out,” Keenan told Rogan.

Fear Inoculum is set to be released on August 30.
