There is something wonderful about a proper greasy breakfast at 4 a.m. Whether it’s after a show with friends, halfway through your all-night study session, or you’re just a fan of 4 a.m. breakfast dates, it’s nice to have a list of solid all night breakfast joints.

The Lakeview
This charming little hole in the wall has been serving the Ossington crowd large portions of all-day breakfast for some time now. It’s simple food at a reasonable price and it’s cozy atmosphere makes for a great all night breakfast joint.
We recommend: The Ossington Massive — Three eggs any style with buttermilk pancakes, organic maple syrup, maple sausage, strip and peameal bacon, grilled tomato, whole wheat and rye toast.

Thompson Diner
The Thompson Diner serves to the King West nightlife crowd. The diner in the Thompson Hotel is serving up classic comfort food all hours of the night in a warm and cozy atmosphere that will surely lull you to sleep once you’ve filled your tummy full of goodness.
We recommend: The Fat American — Sausage and bacon stuffed pancakes topped with crispy battered onions and a fried egg.

7 West Café
A destination for night owls looking for more than just breakfast foods; this place is serving up cocktails and a large selection of salads and sandwiches. 7 West is also great for people-watching, and its cozy atmosphere and central location make it a great choice for awkward first dates.

The iconic Frans was known for serving pianist/composer Glenn Gould whenever he would visit Toronto. The two 24/7 locations, one at Yonge and College and the other at Victoria and Shuter have a retro vibe and good food that is sure to satisfy the nocturnal creature in all of us.
We recommend: Morning Glory – Jumbo Waffle topped with 2 eggs any style, 2 strips of bacon, caramelized apples and drizzled with hot syrup.

Although this Etobicoke joint is only open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday, the all-day breakfast is perfect if you are finding your way home after a show. The large plates of food will satisfy whatever you’re craving.
