A topless protester was kicked off stage by Avril Lavigne during Monday night’s Juno Awards in Edmonton, Alberta. The protester had messages scrawled on their body, including “Land Back” and “Save the Greenbelt,” a shot at the Ontario government’s plans to develop a portion of the previously protected farm and wetland area.
Lavigne promptly told the person to “Get the f–k off,” into the microphone before the protestor was removed from the stage. Lavigne’s 2023 Juno Awards experience also included taking home a Fan Choice Award for the fourth time.
Thanks to my amazing fans for voting for the TikTok Juno Fan Choice Award. This is my 10th Juno Award and 4th Fan Choice Award. Let’s keep rocking and cheers to the next 20 years!
