Toronto dream pop outfit Tallies are back with two new singles: “Wound Up Tight” and “Heavens Touch.”
Alongside last year’s “No Dreams of Fayres,” today’s singles will make up a mini-EP. “Wound Up Tight” channels the lush, dreamy sound of their debut album. With captivating synths and stunning guitars, the track is all about being caught in vicious cycles. The track comes accompanied by a video directed by Christopher Mills.
“This song is about being stuck in a constant rotating vicious cycle that makes one want to tear their own hair out,” Tallies’ Sarah Cogan explains of “Wound Up Tight.” “It’s about a feeling towards someone who just doesn’t care enough to make a change.”

“Heavens Touch,” on the other hand, is all about looking for affection in your partner.
“This song is someone’s pleas for more love, more time, and more effort from their partner,” Cogan adds. “They’re willing to do whatever it takes in exchange for more love.”
