What’s good enough for a dog is good enough for the kitties. Toronto is getting its first cat-themed park on the former Globe and Mail site according to Claude Cormier, the designer behind the dog statue fountain located in the newly renovated Berczy Park.
The cat park is part of transformation project set for Front Street West that will see more green space and public terraces between Clarence Square and Victoria Memorial Park.
Cormier noted that the Berczy Park project will add some bird and cat sculptures “to make the cat people happy.” Whatever the case, cats get their due in the upcoming Front Street development. “Dogs for the east side, cats for the west side,” Cormier told the Globe and Mail.
