Toronto International Film Festival announces 2020 lineup

The festival will run from September 10 to 19

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has announced the lineup for its 2020 event, which will run differently this year due to COVID-19.

The hybrid event, which will run from September 10th to 19th, is set to feature limited offline film screenings, virtual red carpets, press conferences, and industry events. “We will be relying on drive-ins and outdoor screenings and will have some indoor screenings, and then there’s a strong digital component, not just for the public, but also for the industry,” festival co-head Joana Vicente explains to The Hollywood Reporter.

The lineup is set to feature highlights like Spike Lee’s filmed version of David Byrne’s American Utopia; Regina King’s One Night in Miami; and Francis Lee’s Ammonite, which stars Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan.
