Toronto police issue fines after finding indoor party at King Street’s Baro bar

The fines were issued for disobeying Ontario's emergency stay-at-home order

On Sunday evening (May 17th), Toronto police found 25 people at an indoor party inside a restaurant in the King West neighbourhood.

Police say that around 5:45 p.m., they were called to Baro bar, located at 485 King Street West, for reports of a party going on inside.

When they arrived, they found 25 people partying indoors, violating Ontario’s emergency stay-at-home order. In Toronto, indoor dining has not been allowed for over seven months.

Several tickets were issued to the bar and its patrons for violating the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
