Toronto punk outfit PUP have shared their highly anticipated fourth album THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND.

Recorded over five weeks in the summer of 2021 with Grammy Award-winning producer Peter Katis, the album sees PUP honing in on their anthemic sound. Channeling fun lyrics and raucous melodies, PUP are ready to explore a more refined sonic territory than ever before. THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND features instruments never before heard on a pup song like piano, synths, horns, and more.

“You can hear the band start to fall of the cliff, and because of that, I think this record is our truest and most genuine to date,” Babcock explains. “There is nothing more PUP than a slow and inevitable descent into self-destruction.”

Although the record was recorded during isolation, PUP’s new album features remote appearances from Illuminati Hotties’ Sarah, NOBRO’s Kathryn, Casper Skulls’ Mel, and Remo Drive’s Erik.

THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND serves as the follow-up to 2019’s Morbid Stuff. It features previously released singles “Totally Fine,” “Waiting,” “Robot Writes A Love Song,” and “Matilda.”
