When it comes to buffet-style Chinese dining, Mandarin is usually the best bet for value. One Torontonian’s tale of a Mandarin experience gone wrong on Mother’s Day might be enough to deter your next visit to one of the city’s locations, though.
According to a Facebook post from Lauren DP Ferreira, her trip to treat her mother in-law at the Mandarin located at Yonge and Eglinton was derailed when they discovered what appeared to be a dead mouse on the seat at their table.
“No one apologized or acknowledged us, they just rushed around to grab it (I think it was dead) and hide it before other diners saw,” read Ferreira’s post.
Mother's Day dinner RUINED by actual MOUSE at our table! I understand that restaurants have rodent problems, although…
A representative from Mandarin responded to the initial Facebook post via comment.
