Toronto Festival of Beer, Broken Social Scene Announce #TorontoStrong Fundraiser

Proceeds from Thursday's new admission ticket will benefit Danforth shooting victims

This weekend, Toronto Festival of Beer and some local artists are giving back to the community in the wake of the horrific shooting that occurred on the Danforth this weekend that left two dead.

The popular festival announced this morning a new general admission ticket for $25, with 100 per cent of proceeds set to be donated to the families that have been directly affected by the tragedy. This ticket will give festival goers entrance for today (Thursday, July 26), giving them general admission and to see the night event featuring Broken Social Scene, The Rural Alberta Advantage and The Darcys.

Festival organizers issued the following statement:

Toronto’s Festival of Beer is committed to donating the revenue generated from this ticket to help the families directly affected by this horrible tragedy with hopes to help them move forward with their lives. Please stand with them in supporting those affected and help them get through this difficult time.
