Toronto Thief Pulls Off ‘Extremely Large’ Veal Heist

Christmas heist results in theft of over $30,000 veal cutlets

Looks like someone felt the Boxing Day madness a little too much this year.

Toronto Police reported that a thief in North York got away with “an extremely large quantity of veal,” stolen sometime between Christmas morning and Boxing Day this week. The haul was located in a 16-metre refrigerated trailer and contained roughly $30,000 worth of veal cutlets.

The company released images of the products, packaged in boxes with their logos

The large trailer is described as white, with a blue “W” and “White Valley” logo on the side. The rear doors of the trailer are said to be distinctive: The right door is white, while the left door is stainless steel. The trailer bears the Ontario licence plate K58 85K.

Anyone who spots the trailer is being asked to contact 31 Division at 416-808-3100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
