The Toronto Public Libary has decided more Torontonians need to hit the books. For many Toronto residents, access to literacy and library resources are out of reach. As of now, the city has two bookmobile buses that deliver the goods to apartment buildings, community centres and shelters.
This allows everyone and anyone to get their hands on solid resources & learning tools. The city is currently finishing up the final touches on a brand new $300,000 mobile library. This hunk of literacy will serve as a replacement vehicle and for the first time, will be fully loaded with free Wi-Fi, large computer screens, and tablets.
The first ever mobile library took to the streets of T.O in 1948.
The new mobile library is expected to be roaming the streets by May. Are you into this new age of literacy? Could this be the latest trend in study spots?
