Toronto Public Library Introduces New Movie Streaming Service

Can you imagine a library filled with as many movies as there are books? The Toronto Public Library is now offering Kanopy – a streaming platform which allows you to watch thousands of films of all kinds. This includes training videos, documentaries, international and feature films.

The new service will offer over 30,000 fully accessible movies to stream. The rented movies will last up to three days on your smart phone, tablet, PC or smart TV and is compatible with iOS, Android, Apple TV, and Roku. You are allowed to select up to eight movies a month, including titles from award-winning indie Canadian and documentary films.

The best part? All you need is an email address or a library card. That’s right, it’s all free! I don’t know about you, but I’m going to the library… to watch movies. Check out their website here to learn how to sign up.
