The Toronto Transit Commission has stepped into the celebration of one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Bathurst Station sported a new look Tuesday morning with signage in the Bloor-Danforth line stop showcasing signage dedicated to Honest Ed’s.
The famous discount store is set to close at the end of the year ahead of a massive Mirvish Village redevelopment project. With the store located just steps from Bathurst Station, it made perfect sense for the TTC to pay tribute to its neighbour of 68 years.
TTC officials installed Honest Ed’s-inspired signage ahead of the Tuesday morning commute. The Honest Ed’s theme will remain until the end of the year. Have a look.
