Turnstile fans mosh to Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’

During their North American tour, Turnstile used Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” as walk-out music. At a show in Worcester, MA on May 21st, a crowd took the lyrics to heart.

It turns out that the ’80s tune was a favourite among the hardcore band’s fans, as a crowd ended up moshing to the bubbly pop hit. In a new video, a Turnstile crowd really does “Wanna Dance With Somebody,” as they began moshing to the tune before Turnstile even took hold of their instruments.

“The crowd went hard for Whitney Houston last night before Turnstile even went on,” a Facebook user wrote on the viral clip.

Back in March, Turnstile took to Jimmy Kimmel Live where they played a blistering four song Glow On medley.

Turnstile did a killer job of bringing their live energy to the stage. While the crowd wasn’t able to mosh and crowdsurf like they were during “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” the band still brought a raucous energy to the performance. The Kimmel set saw Turnstile ripping through a four song, 11 minute Glow On medley.

The Glow On medley was made up of “Mystery,” “Blackout,” “Don’t Play” and “Holiday.” Turnstile were able to treat the Kimmel stage just like one of their very own shows, going as hard as they would at a hardcore set.
