Listen: Twin Peaks Meets Stranger Things In Mashup

"Stranger Peaks"

Netflix’s Stranger Things has pretty much owned summer 2016.

It’s incredible blend of supernatural mystery and nostalgic Goonies vibes have definitely caught the attention of viewers of all ages.

Many fans have even noticed similarities between the Netflix original series, and David Lynch’s early 90’s murder mystery series, Twin Peaks.

There are a number of resemblences between the two shows, with the use of supernatural circumstances, alternate dimensions, and small town characters. Not to mention the cultural reaction to both shows has been almost identical, with both series gaining quite the cult following.

Seattle band, Prom Queen, noticed an even similar aspect of the two, hiding within the shows’ theme songs. So they decided to blend the two together.

“Stranger Peaks” is the lovechild of “Laura Palmer’s Theme” by Angelo Badalamenti, from the original Twin Peaks soundtrack, and the Stranger Things theme by S.U.R.V.I.V.E. and it’s total synth nostalgia.
