Unsound Music Festival Coming to Abandoned Power Station for Luminato

Music festival and abandoned spaces lovers rejoice – Luminato has an announcement for you. Krakow, Poland’s festival Unsound has already spread to other cities such as London, Adelaide, and New York, and will be arriving in Toronto over June 19 and 20 as a part of Luminato Festival.

The two-day music and arts festival will be held at the abandoned Hearn Generating Station that stands in The Port Lands in downtown Toronto.

The lineup includes drone/ambient band Stars of The Lid, German electronic musician Robert Henke (a.k.a. Monolake), and more. Plus a very cool, innovative performance called Ephermera: bringing together scent and sound in a startling new way, Tim Hecker will present the world premiere of a live version of the Unsound-produced Ephemera project at Luminato Festival.

Tickets are $30 for both nights, $20 for one night, and an extra $10 for Ephermera. For more info head over to Luminato’s website.
