If you’re looking for something to warm you up on this cold, cold Tuesday in January, then look no further. Fantasy Label Group and Vampire Weekend, along with many other artists, collaborated for Starbucks’ Sweetheart 2014. A carefully crafted album full of famous love songs redone by indie rock bands from all over the globe, just in time for Valentine’s day.
This will be the fifth album produced exclusively for Starbucks chains and Vampire Weekend is on the bill, performing “Con Tre Partirò”, made famous by Andrea Bocelli. Ezra Koenig blows us away with his perfect Italian; I mean it’s hard enough to speak the language let alone sing in it. If those sweet vocal chords don’t warm you up then the reggae back beat just might.
