Vampire Weekend members Chris Baio and Chris Tomson launch new podcast ‘The Road Taken’

Featuring members of the Black Keys, the Strokes, more as guests

Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio and drummer Chris Tomson are creating a new podcast called The Road Taken, which will be made up of conversations with other musicians about what its like to be on tour.

The forthcoming 10-episode season will feature a variety of huge guests including The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, The Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr., Laura Marling, Michelle Branch, Mumford and Sons’ Winston Marshall, Can’s Malcolm Mooney, and Mobb Deep’s Havoc.

“When CT told me he had an idea for a podcast about touring, I thought to myself, ‘But wait! Touring is boring!'” Baio explains to Billboard. “Little did I know what I was in for: discussions across decades and genres about how touring is both art and commerce, how it changes the music artists make, and how it can be punishing sometimes and rewarding at others.”

You can check out a trailer for the podcast here! The Road Taken is set to premiere on October 2nd on the Ringer Podcast Network.
