Colyn Cameron is the core of Wake Owl. He started writing songs in his teens, but explored another career when he studied organic agriculture at Emerson College in England.
His agriculture work took him to farms in the UK, Germany, and Chile, and ended up inspiring his songwriting. Born and raised in southern California, he now splits his time between Vancouver and Portland, and is joined in his musical venture by supporting players including multi-instrumentalist, Aiden Briscall. The band has toured with Bahamas and Zeus, and are currently on tour in the US.
The Wild Country EP includes the song “Gold”, which was featured on Grey’s Anatomy.
