Wallows sing of insecurities on new single ‘I Don’t Want to Talk’

Wallows have made their return with a video for their new single, “I Don’t Want to Talk.”

“I Don’t Want to Talk” marks the first new Wallows music since the release of their Remote EP in February. The new single is all about pushing someone away because of insecurities. The accompanying video has a vintage tinge to it. Throughout the clip, Wallows try to distract themselves by reading fortune cookies, boxing, and more.

“‘I Don’t Want to Talk’ is ultimately a song about insecurities,” the band’s Dylan Minnette explains. “Not only in yourself, but in this case, particularly in a relationship. It centers around the fear of being away from someone for too long and that ultimately allowing the other person’s head to be turned by someone else, and instead of expressing those fears, completely shutting down and not wanting to talk about it at all.”
