The show follows the murder of Debbie Carter in 1982 and Denice Haraway in 1984, which led to the arrest and conviction of Ron Williamson, Dennis Fritz, Tommy Ward, and Karl Fontendt. Participants in the documentary claim their confessions were coerced by the police force in the Oklahoma town.

In the clip, writer John Grisham even says, “If I wrote The Innocent Man as a novel, folks probably wouldn’t believe it.”

The Innocent Man will be released onto Netflix on December 14th.
