A new trailer for Harriet has arrived, which is a biographical film based on the life of abolitionist and political activist, Harriet Tubman. Tubman escaped slavery and led hundreds of enslaved people to freedom on the Underground Railroad.
The trailer sees Cynthia Erivo’s Tubman seeking freedom in a variety of powerful clips, even stating “I’m gonna be free or die.” The inspiring trailer sees Tubman’s story unfolding as, after she escapes slavery herself, she goes back to save as many people as she can.
The Kasi Lemmons-directed film stars Erivo as Tubman, with Leslie Odom Jr., Joe Alwyn, Jennifer Nettles and Janelle Monáe in supporting roles.

Harriet is set to release in theatres on November 1st.
