A new trailer for Mystify, a forthcoming documentary about Australian musician, singer-songwriter, actor and star of INXS Michael Hutchence, was just released today.
Mystify is a film by Richard Lowenstein, who is known for creating music videos for INXS. The documentary tells the story of the troubled star and takes an inside look at Hutchence’s life, with testimonies from those who knew him, glimpses at his love life, never before seen footage of the late rock star and the brain injury that led to his untimely passing. The film even features interviews with the surviving members of INXS, Bono, his family, and producer Nick Launay.
The documentary had its initial debut at several film festivals such as the Tribeca Film Festival, Filmfest Munchen and more, and now it will premiere on BBC. “Michael Hutchence was one of the most influential and charismatic rock stars of the modern era, and I’m delighted that this moving documentary will air on BBC2,” BBC’s Music Head of Commission Jan Young Husband explained in a statement.
