Montreal-based artist Ada Lea has released a new soft-focus video for “180 Days” off of her acclaimed debut album, what we say in private.
“During that period of 180 days, I often wondered what it would be like if I ever reached the other side; a seemingly unattainable goal,” Ada Lea explains of the inspiration behind the song in a statement. “This song is an homage to that dream-like period.”

The new Emilie Kahn-directed clip sees Ada Lea singing into a hairbrush along to the gritty, melancholic track. With clips of the artist staring into the camera beneath clouds, in front of a sparkling disco ball, and from behind a blanket, this powerful, slightly eerie video is the perfect accompaniment to the slightly futuristic tune.
