Molly Bartholomew is an American Sign Language interpreter who has taken a different approach to song “covers”.
Rather than using a voice, Bartholomew speaks in ASL to create artistic interpretations of pop songs for her YouTube channel. The combination of sign language and interpretive dance offer a new and refreshing take on the age old singing covers. Including audio in the videos as well, these covers work on two levels; as a beautiful interpretation for deaf viewers that can still be appreciated by those who don’t speak the language.
