Watch: Art d’Ecco shares flashy video for new track ‘TV God’

'In Standard Definition' is set for release later this year

Art d’Ecco is gearing up for the release of In Standard Definition, which is set for release later this year via Paper Bag Records, and to preview the album, the glam rocker has shared a video for “TV God.”

In a world of streaming, the new track reflects on the era of televised entertainment, when you had to sit in front of a television at a certain time to catch all your favourite shows. d’Ecco sings of consumers putting too much stock in TV celebrities, delivering lines like, “I’m right, you’re wrong/ Pick up the pieces and move on/ To find a light/ Illuminated to survive.”

The accompanying flashy clip has a retro tinge to it, as d’Ecco and co perform beneath bright lights in a smoky room filled with televisions.
