Bastille recently for BBC radio 1 at BBC Maida Vale Studios, where they played a cover mashup of Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.
Bastille seamlessly transitions from one song to another, as each track is connected by the word “bad.” The band opens up with Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy,” moving into Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance,” where lead singer Dan Smith belts out the chorus of the song, and the mashup later ends with the chorus of Taylor Swifts’ “Bad Blood,” sung by the backup vocalists. The performance sees the band alongside the group of backup vocalists, giving each track an upbeat, mellow tone with surf rock vibes. Bastille makes each song their own with this cover mashup.
