This week marked Sean Penn’s 10th annual gala for his charity CORE, which began after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
At the benefit concert, which took place at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, Jenny Lewis and Beck took to the stage to deliver a cover of Boudleaux Bryant’s “Love Hurts.” In a tweet, :ewis revealed that the pair were aiming to combine Nazareth’s popular version with Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons’ intimate duet. The performance saw the renowned pair of artists backed by Linda Perry and Portugal. The Man.
