Broken Social Scene have shared a video for another new track from their forthcoming EP Let’s Try The After – Vol. 1, which will be released tomorrow, and the tune is called “Boyfriends.”
The Canadian group have delivered a standard gritty BSS track that revolves around themes of nostalgia and staying young. The track has a strong build, leading up to some belting vocals at the end of the track. The accompanying video is entirely composed of colourful gifs of people looking in the mirror, a pinky promise, and animated cell phones. In addition to the tune, the band has made a website in honour of Valentine’s Day, which allows you to send off e-cards with lyrics from the track to someone special.
