While gearing up for the release of their new album Wallop this Friday, August 30th, !!! (Chk Chk Chk) have shared a peculiar, colourful animated video for their new track, “Couldn’t Have Known.”

“Couldn’t Have Known” is an energetic, electric banger with a heavily produced instrumental line, and disco-tinged vocals that are sure to get you dancing. The accompanying Cheng-Hsu Chung-directed club follows a delightfully bizarre red figure as he makes his way through ominous tunnels, eccentric museums, and strange tunnel systems.

“Like an apocalyptic jukebox, Wallop is jam-packed with various sounds and styles from dance music’s rich history – from the pie-eyed psychedelia of Madchester-era English dance-rock to tunnel-vision techno and the flashy, bomb-dropping sound of UK grime,” a press release explains of the album. “The candy-coated sounds of ’90s rave loom large in Wallop‘s playful darkness, a callback to another era when everything felt like it was just about ready to fall apart.”
