Over the weekend, Christine & The Queens performed a new rendition of “La marcheuse” at the French music award ceremony Les Victoires de la Musique.
Frontwoman Héloïse Letissier performed while suspended above the audience, as she delivered an orchestral, delicate reimagining of the track that featured strings from Owen Pallett. The new rendition of “La marcheuse” steps away from the beat-heavy track fune her 2018 LP, Chris, and refocuses on an intimate and expansive instrumental full of hovering silences and powerful vocals.
