In a ten-minute clip posted to his Instagram, City and Colour aka Dallas Green sits down and reveals how his 2005 debut album Sometimes came to be.
In the video, Green discusses the story behind his music video for “Save Your Scissors” and teaches us how he created the opening riff. He also uncovers the reasoning behind some of the album’s song titles and meanings.
Regarding his emotional slow-paced hits, Green divulges, “People think I’m this really sad, miserable person but I really like laughing too, I just don’t think it’s important for me to write a song that’s funny.”
