Watch: Dave Grohl debuts ‘PLAY’ soundtrack live at Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam

The instrumental soundtrack to his two-part mini doc

Earlier this year, beloved Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl released an expansive 23-minute long instrumental for the soundtrack to his two-part mini documentary, PLAY. Last night, he performed the piece live for the first time ever at former Allman Brothers guitarist Warren Haynes’ yearly Christmas Jam.

Grohl took to the drums, and was joined by members of Them Crooked Vultures and Jane’s Addiction, as the supergroup performed the full 23-minute long track from start to finish with a couple of improvisational parts to boot. Grohl was joined by Alain Johannes, Barret Jones, and Jason Falkner on guitar, Greg Kurstin on keyboard, Chris Chaney on bass, and Drew Hester on the drums.
