Sunday marked the 15th anniversary of Transatlanticism, Death Cab for Cutie’s breakthrough record. The album, which reformed a huge sound into soft indie rock, is widely known as the band’s most successful and finest LP.
To honour the occasion, Death Cab played the album in its entirety at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre, for a “surprise 15th birthday party,” they wrote on Instagram.
Death Cab for Cutie is out on tour for their latest album Thank You for Today, which serves as their fifth studio album since Transatlanticism.
